A NZ native from the Chatham Islands producing long, sword shaped, arching, silver-grey leaves. Extremely popular as feature plants for containers or in the garden. Contrasts well with darker foliage. Sun to semi shade. Good drainage. Hardy. Evergreen.

Plant Care: 

Avoid planting in wet soils or planting to deep Astelia chatamica requires a moist but free draining soil. Feed once a year using Texture Plants 12 month planting food. If applying mulch avoid putting mulch up the crown of the plant.
