A vigorous variety, fruiting over a long period of time. Fruit looks like a lemon, but the longer it ripens the sweeter the fruit become. Likes a sunny, well drained position in good soil and plenty of moisture while fruit are forming. Ideal in a container or a warm sheltered spot
Hardy lemon suitable for Christchurch. Requires a moist but free draining soil enriched with organic matter. Mulch in spring. Feed regularly with citrus food, Keep moist during the growing season. Plant in the full sun ideally protected from winter frosts, if required cover with frost cloth to protect fruit. Little pruning is required other than form pruning. Once fruit has been harvested cut back by a few centimetres to encourage new growth for fruiting.
