Liquidamber 'Gumball'

Quite possibly the best small form of Liquidambar, This naturally dwarf variety has been grafted onto the traditional styraciflua to create a new topiary form. The new growth in spring is a lush lime green which deepens to a dark emerald green in summer producing a beautiful summer look. Autumn time is something to behold with the tree turning a riot of orange-red and wine-purple which persist deep into winter. A superb tree for courtyards and layered plantings, instead of traditional robinias or similar trees.

Plant Care:

Great singular specimen or avenue tree. Tolerant of most soils including wet. Feed once a year with Texture Plants 12 month planting food. Little pruning is required other than minor form pruning or crown raising. Best autumn colour will be achieved in cooler areas.
