An upright, vigorous growing Rhododendron with dull, dark green foliage. Rose coloured flowers spotted with deep red markings are produced in rounded trusses through winter/spring. Prefers a loose, open, acidic soil with organic matter added to retain moisture. Mulch in summer. Part shade. Evergreen. Hardy.
Plant in a moist but free draining soil which is slightly acidic. Mulch with acidic mulch in autumn and spring, mulch such as chopped conifer needles is ideal. Feed once a year with a Rhododendron food. Dead head spent flower heads to promote better flowering in the next season. Watch for thrips and leaf roller caterpillar.
