Agave applanata commonly known as Grey Agave, is an architectural succulent forming a large, solitary rosette of broad blue-green leaves edged with prominent dark brown to black spines.

With a mature spread of up to 2 metres in diameter, it makes a bold statement in any dry garden or landscape design. Prefers a full sun position with good drainage and should be protected from heavy frosts. Evergreen and drought-tolerant once established, it's ideal for xeriscaping, coastal gardens or as a dramatic feature in containers.
