Aloe polyphylla is a rare and visually striking succulent native to the mountainous regions of Lesotho in southern Africa. It is best known for its perfectly geometric spiral pattern of broad, succulent leaves, which can form in clockwise or counter-clockwise arrangements as the plant matures.

In summer it produces attractive spikes of orange-pink tubular flowers that rise above the foliage. Due to its unique form and cool-climate origins, Aloe polyphylla is best grown in a large container or well-drained garden bed in a temperate climate.

Requires good drainage, full sun to part shade and protection from extreme heat or prolonged frost. A prized specimen for collectors and architectural gardens.
