A beautiful New Zealand native fern forming a lush clump of arching, glossy green fronds. Mature fronds produce small fernlets or bulbils, which develop into new plants when they fall to the ground. An excellent choice for shaded borders, woodland gardens, underplanting and containers.

Prefers moist, humus-rich, well-drained soil in partial to full shade. Hardy to light frost once established and can also be grown indoors in bright, indirect light. Evergreen.
