Aucuba Jungle Girl is an attractive, bushy evergreen shrub native to Japan and eastern Asia. It features glossy dark green leaves heavily mottled with gold, bringing vibrant colour and texture to shaded areas.

The female form produces deep crimson-red berries in autumn when a male pollinator is nearby. It prefers a well-drained soil in shade to semi-shade and is perfect for brightening up a dark corner of the garden. Drought tolerant once established and easily trimmed to maintain height and shape.
