A strong-growing upright camellia with attractive soft maroon new growth that matures to deep green glossy foliage. Medium to large formal double red flowers are produced in abundance from late winter into early spring, creating a striking display.

Its dense habit makes it an excellent choice for hedging, screening or feature planting. Thrives in a semi-shaded position with well-drained soil. Hardy and evergreen.
