A grass-like sedge with stiff gold and green variegated foliage that forms a neat arching clump and looks stunning planted in groups in the garden or equally effective in a pot. Interesting fluffy feathery yellow spikes appear in spring.

Prefers a semi-shaded area in the garden with moist well drained soil and brightens up shady borders, woodland plantings and the edges of paths. Also makes a good companion for hostas, ferns and hellebores. Hardy. Evergreen.
