A handsome NZ native shrub prized for its dense, bronze-coloured foliage, bringing year-round colour, texture and structure to the garden. Delicate yellow star-shaped flowers appear in late spring to early summer, followed by bright red berries that provide seasonal interest and attract birds.

Its naturally dense growth makes it an excellent choice for hedging, screening, topiary and coastal gardens, while also working well as a feature in mixed native plantings.
