Dacrydium cupressinum commonly known as Rimu, is a distinctive New Zealand native tree that forms an attractive, drooping pyramidal shape in the forest canopy.

Its branches are densely clothed in short, light green leaves, which take on rich bronze tones during the colder months. Preferring damp, rich soil and some shade, Rimu is well-suited to sheltered, forested environments.

As a hardy evergreen, it provides year-round beauty and is a standout tree for adding texture and depth to gardens with suitable growing conditions. Prefers shelter, frost free site when young.
