Echinopsis spp. are striking columnar cacti valued for their bold sculptural form and strong architectural presence. Well suited to containers, they thrive in a bright indoor position or a warm, sheltered spot outdoors where they can receive plenty of light and protection from excess moisture.

These cacti prefer a free draining mix and should be allowed to dry out between waterings during the growing season, with a very dry rest period kept over winter. In well drained, sunny positions they are surprisingly hardy and reliable. Evergreen and low maintenance, Echinopsis brings a clean, modern desert aesthetic to any plant collection.
