An epiphytic cactus with broad flat leaf-like stems and very showy large double apricot-orange flowers in spring and summer. The blooms are spectacular up close and make a dramatic feature when the plant is in full flower. The arching stems have an attractive trailing habit that looks good even when the plant is not in bloom.

Prefers a bright position away from direct sunlight such as a sheltered veranda or covered patio or a filtered light spot beneath trees. Water regularly but allow the soil to dry slightly between watering. Use a free draining orchid or cactus mix and feed with a low nitrogen fertiliser through the growing season to encourage flowering. Flowers best when slightly root bound. Great for hanging baskets and containers. Protect from frost and from sitting in wet soil over winter.
