Low Maintenance

Native to New Zealand, Fuchsia excorticata, also known as the Tree Fuchsia is the largest growing fuchsia species in the world. This deciduous shrub produces small, pink, purple and green flowers throughout the summer, followed by purple berries that are highly attractive to birds.

Over time, the tree’s reddish bark becomes papery and peels, adding an interesting textural element to the landscape. Prefers a rich, moist soil with some shade and protection from severe frost. Hardy in milder climates.
