Low Maintenance

An easy-to-grow bulbous perennial from South Africa with slender, grass-like leaves and fleshy stems topped with brush-like clusters of white, bell-shaped flowers marked with maroon. Flowers appear in late winter to early spring, adding early seasonal colour when little else is flowering.

Prefers a warm, sheltered spot in full sun or part shade and benefits from protection from heavy frosts. Ideal for containers, rockeries or borders with free-draining soil. Frost tender, so best lifted or sheltered in colder regions.

Loved by bees and butterflies, making it a great addition to pollinator-friendly gardens.
