Stapelia grandiflora
$14.99
Stapelia grandiflora is a striking succulent grown for its unusual form and dramatic flowers. It produces thick, 4-angled green stems edged with small teeth and covered in fine soft hairs, forming a sculptural clump over time.
In warmer months it produces large, balloon-like flowers roughly the size of a ping-pong ball that open into star-shaped blooms with five pointed petals. The flowers are highly ornamental and make a bold statement against the textured stems.
Best grown in pots or containers, it prefers a warm, sunny position with very free-draining soil. It is frost tender and should be protected from cold and excess winter moisture. An evergreen collector’s plant ideal for succulent displays.
