A compact deciduous shrub with attractive 3–5 lobed green foliage that develops rich purplish-pink tones in autumn. Flat clusters of creamy white flowers appear in early summer, followed by bright red berries that add further seasonal interest.

Its neat, rounded habit makes it well suited to mixed borders, smaller gardens and feature planting. Thrives in full sun to partial shade with well-drained soil. Hardy and deciduous.
