Moderate Maintenance

A vigorous and elegant climber, Wisteria floribunda Cascade is prized for its spectacular long, cascading racemes of soft mauve flowers often tinged with pink, that appear in mid to late spring. The fragrant blooms drape beautifully from branches creating a dramatic display on pergolas, fences, walls or as part of a trained topiary or espalier.

This variety is known for its strong growth habit, and with regular pruning it can be easily shaped and maintained. Prune after flowering to encourage better flowering next season and again in winter if necessary to control size and structure.

Best grown in full sun in well-drained soil. Wisteria floribunda Cascade is hardy and long-lived, making it an excellent feature plant for New Zealand gardens.
