Alectryon excelsus is a striking New Zealand native tree prized for its lush green pinnate leaves and elegant form. This evergreen tree makes an excellent specimen or shade tree.

In spring to early summer, Tītoki produces tiny, rust-toned flowers which are particularly attractive to native birds. These are followed by vibrant scarlet seed capsules that split open to reveal shiny black seeds, a stunning contrast and a seasonal highlight.

Tītoki is well-suited to a wide range of soil types and conditions, thriving in both urban and rural settings. However, young plants should be protected from frost until established.

A wonderful choice for adding native biodiversity, structure and beauty to your outdoor space.
