Araucaria angustifolia is a large, robust evergreen tree native to Brazil. It is characterised by its tough, scale-like leaves that cover both the trunk and branches, giving it a unique texture. When young, the tree has a symmetrical, pyramidal form reminiscent of the Monkey Puzzle tree, with the crown developing into a flat-topped shape as it matures.
