Podocarpus totara or Totara, is one of New Zealand's most majestic native forest trees, renowned for its strength and resilience. In cultivation, it reaches a height of 5-8 metres making it well suited for gardens where a larger specimen tree or hedge is desired. Totara grows quickly during its first few years before gradually filling out into a full, robust tree.
