A striking foliage plant from Asia grown for its bold tropical appearance. The large toothed leaves are strongly textured and often emerge with a bronze tinge, adding rich colour and interest to shaded garden spaces. From established clumps, tall stems of ivory-green flowers may appear in summer.

Prefers humus-rich, moist soil in shade to part sun. Hardy and winter dormant, this is an excellent choice for adding structure and drama to woodland or damp garden areas.
