Drought Tolerant - Once established

Salvia leucantha Santa Barbara is a compact selection of the popular Mexican bush sage, prized for its arching spikes of downy purple and white flowers that appear in abundance from late summer into autumn. Its soft grey-green foliage is attractive year-round, adding texture and a silvery contrast in mixed plantings.

This woody, perennial shrub is excellent for attracting butterflies and pollinators and thrives in a sunny, well-drained position. More compact than the typical species, it’s ideal for borders, dry gardens and Mediterranean-style landscapes.

Protect from heavy frost, especially in colder regions. Prune back in early spring to maintain shape and encourage fresh new growth.
